Referrals
At Angela Bain Psychology, we receive referrals from GP’s, paediatricians, psychiatrists, other allied health professionals, government agencies and other community organisations. In addition, individuals are always welcome to call us to arrange an appointment. We will offer advice about your eligibility to receive financial support including a Medicare rebate.

Information for Clients
Self Referrals
You do not need a referral to book an appointment with our Clinical Psychologist.
If you have Private Health Insurance, you may be entitled to a rebate through your provider.
We recommend you check with your provider prior to your appointment.
GP Referral
BETTER ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH CARE INITIATIVE
Prior to your appointment with Angela Bain Psychology, we recommend seeing your GP to be assessed for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). If a MHCP is provided this entitles you to a Medicare rebate to use for 10 sessions to assist you with payment. After the initial 6 sessions, you are required to return to your GP for a review, and they may recommend a further 4 sessions.

Please note that you are only eligible for 10 sessions per calendar year. In order for us to process your rebate, we require a copy of your MHCP and referral from your GP. You can ask your GP to send the referral and MHCP directly to us, you can email us directly or bring it in with you on the day of your appointment.
